Our story

A Surat workshop, three generations on.

ParasLace began in 1990 as a single-loom family workshop in Surat's textile market. Today the same family runs a full-scale lace manufacturing operation supplying garment houses, designers, and ateliers across India and six export markets.

Heritage

Founded in 1990 by Paras Jain as a small family workshop with a single loom and a stubborn commitment to quality, ParasLace grew alongside Surat's rise as India's textile capital. The second-generation owners trained under the founders, the third-generation supervisors learned the trade on the workshop floor before they learned it in the office.

Craft

Every roll combines traditional handwork with modern looms. Our karigars — many in the trade for two or three decades — finish jari borders, crochet patterns, and decorative trims by hand. We inspect every lot before it ships.

Range

  • Jari Lace — gold and silver metallic borders for sarees, lehengas, bridal panels.
  • Crochet Lace — handworked cotton patterns for couture and home.
  • Decorative Trims — polyester and blend borders for ready-made garments and stage costume.

Commitment

Quality is not a tagline. Every metre is checked before it leaves the workshop. We pay our karigars on time, run a clean and well-lit shop floor, and turn down orders we cannot deliver well. That has kept the same buyers coming back for more than three decades.

Our standard

“We have made lace in Surat since 1990. Every metre is checked by hand before it leaves the floor — that standard is why buyers across India and six export markets keep coming back.”
— Paras Jain, Founder
